MVO Nederland

JMT is now official partner of MVO. MVO means that a company does business in a social and responsible way. To become a member  of MVO you have to meet the member profile and subscribe to an agreed manifest. One of the starting points of the manifest is that the company has to strive for a balance between people, planet and profit. This applies to all business decisions that a company makes.

LEAN and GREEN

The Duurzame Logistiek [Sustainable Logistics] program wants to make an explicit and pragmatic contribution to the sustainability of the logistics chain by supporting 250 so-called ‘front-runners’. These front-runners are made up of companies within the logistics sector that wish to commit to the objectives of the program to reduce their CO2 emissions by at least 20% within a period of 5 years (reference year 2007). The Lean & Green Award is granted on the basis of a written plan, in which concrete CO2 targets for 2012/2015 have been recorded, and Critical Performance Indicators are determined. The Lean and Green Award winners 2011 include C&A, Copex Air Cargo, Douwe Egberts, HEMA, Sara Lee België, SCA Gennep, Suiker Unie, Wemmers and Zeelandia.
